Editorial standards and sources
What we verify, what we label and what we will never pretend to know.
Soccer Trippers combines structured football and travel data with editorial context and community contributions. Trust depends on keeping those source types visible instead of blending them into a fictional first-person voice.
Official facts first
Fixture times, ticket routes, stadium details and venue claims are checked against clubs, competitions, venue operators or the named data provider wherever possible.
First-hand means first-hand
We only describe an experience as ours when a Soccer Trippers contributor actually had it. Desk research and community observations are labelled as such.
Reviews are signals, not copy
We may analyse recurring themes in public visitor reviews to identify what needs checking. We do not copy reviews, invent a visit or turn somebody else's account into a first-person Soccer Trippers story.
Community input is attributable
Ratings, tips and corrections are presented as community contributions. Businesses can claim a profile, but payment never turns an unverified claim into an editorial fact.
Commercial links stay separate
Affiliate links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to the traveller. An affiliate relationship does not create a personal recommendation or a claim that a ticket or room is available.
Uncertainty is part of the answer
Kick-off times, ticket access, opening hours and hotel inventory can change. We show known planning risks and ask travellers to verify time-sensitive details before non-refundable bookings.
