Safety Tips
A few simple habits to keep your football trip smooth, safe and all about the game.
Buy tickets through official channels
Only buy from the club, official partners or verified resale. Avoid touts outside the ground — fakes and duplicates are common on big matchdays.
Keep valuables secure
Crowded concourses and public transport are prime spots for pickpockets. Use a zipped inside pocket, keep your phone away, and carry only what you need.
Respect home and away areas
Wear neutral colours when in doubt, know which end is which, and follow stewards' instructions. Sit in the section on your ticket to avoid trouble.
Plan your route in and out
Stadiums empty fast. Know your transport options before kickoff, expect crowds and delays after the final whistle, and agree a meeting point with your group.
Arrive early and stay aware
Turn up well before kickoff for security checks. Soak up the atmosphere, but stay aware of your surroundings, especially around rival supporters.
Know the basics before you travel
Save the local emergency number, note your accommodation address, keep a copy of your ID, and make sure you have travel insurance for the trip.
These are general tips — always check official club and local guidance for the match and city you're visiting.
