Take the metro. Line M5 (purple) runs directly to its western terminus, San Siro Stadio, just a short walk from the ground and comfortably the easiest way in. Tram 16 stops even closer, at Piazzale Axum, and the ground is a walkable 20 minutes or so from the Fiera district. Parking nearby is very limited and permit-only, so leave the car behind. Do your eating and drinking in the city, because the residential San Siro district offers little beyond a few kiosks and a pub under the stands. Payment inside is card-friendly, but concessions are basic and busy — small sandwiches and snacks — so eat before you arrive. The real draw is the setting: the vast triple-tiered bowl, the eleven towers and helical ramps, and a sea of red and black. Milan’s Curva Sud at the southern end is the ultras’ home and the loudest section; the lower and middle tiers bring you closest to the pitch, while the third ring is cheaper but steep and distant. On a non-matchday, the shared San Siro museum and tour showcases both clubs’ European Cups and takes you through the tunnel and dressing rooms. Take it in while this grand old ground still stands.

Tickets are sold through the official club channel (singletickets.acmilan.com) and authorised platforms, generally from around €30 in the upper tiers up to €150-plus for prime seats and the biggest games. The derby and top Champions League or league fixtures sell out fastest, so book those well ahead; lesser games are much easier. The M5 metro clears the big crowd quickly and drops you back in the heart of Milan, far easier than attempting to drive.
